Make a SQUARE piece for the corner that is thicker than the runs on the sides and ELIMINATE the miter alltogether. You can raise the square part with some 1/4" underlament, then hide it with moulding underneath.

Here's a cropped view from a cellphone pic I had already. I'll get a couple good ones up soon, but this should give you the general idea. Your base may differ, just alter the concept to fit your saw. I know it's kinda redneck, but it was cheap and effective. I just put a couple of scraps down as whe...

Micheal, I know exactly what you mean about not moving that saw without wheels. I have an old Craftsman 100 that I needed to move around in the garage to use and then put back against the wall. (4) pneumatic tires from Harbor Freight; (2) 36" lengths of 5/8" round steel; (8) flat washers; ...

That's got me thinkin... If I were gonna try something that huge, I'd see if I could find a 9" or so v-belt pully and fasten it to the end of my project, shimming it to get the pulley to run as true as needed. Then I'd take the 1/4HP 1725rpm motor off my old delta drill press with the 4-step pu...

WOW !...this thread went haywire didn't it? Let me be upfront about something here..."I" was not offended in any way by anyone's post. I take great pleasure in my 'sick and twisted' sense of humor as well, and 'got' the "lumber yard' reply. That being said, there is some validity to t...

Hi, I'm no SS expert yet, but I've been turning and milling parts for over 30 yrs:eek: That 'groove' is 'relief' for grinding the shaft to size after turning on the lathe. Grinding wheel corners break down, and this groove allows for that. It also assures that the bearing inner race will 'shoulder' ...

The SS Dado Blade that came with my SS is missing the two end blades and a couple of chippers. Does it have it's own special arbor?

Where to post it?

Is there a 'WANTED' section here I don't see?
Where should I post a specific need?

hdtran, Look at the outside of that extension cord you were using and post the jargon you'll find on the outer sheathing. You said the gfi blew. Did it blow INSTANTLY when you turned the SS on, or did it take a while? Also, where is your gfi? at the outlet you plugged the extension cord into?...or a...
