Ended up making a cam. It was a pain. All working good now.

Thanks Russ, I thought that might be the answer. I have two sanders and wanted to use this one because is has the flat drive roller. I was able to get the cam off of my older unit and put this one back together. I'll keep watching for parts or if I get time this winter I may try to make a new cam.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I finally machined the damaged end down to accept a 1/2" pulley, cut a keyway and installed a good steel pulley. Replaced both head bearings which NAPA had in stock. The planer came mounted on a stand with a motor. I’m wondering if it would pay to mount on the Mark v. What would I need to be able to mount it on the Shopsmith?
