That's what I have been doing. Without the Incra fence system you can make changes to the all the tables without removing the bars. I was concerned with the incra system that the additional weight might bend the bars. The Incra fence system is really a nice addition to the Mark 5.

I am looking for a used jointer. Is there any way to determine the age? Also how many versions of are there and are there any better models. Are parts readly availible for all the models.

I purchase a used Mark 510 with the Incra TSLS system and wonder fence. When I slide the fence I feel and hear the teeth dragging. Also the the micro adjuster does not seem to be moving the fence. Is there any maintenance information to align the system? Is this typical for this?
