Power Cord
I do not have any solution to the retaining problems above. but I do want to reinforce what has been said about rigidly attaching it. In addition to possibility of pulling on wires internally we need to also be concerned about "strain relief externally at the point of attachment. My 45 yr oldie...

Casters/tability
Somewhere in my memory banks is recollection of tool cart casters which have a lowerable pedestal. These were foot operated. Thought that were the best of both worlds. Can't offer a source, but an industrial supply house rather than woodworking per se may be fruitful. Nice BENCH/WORKSHOP...... What ...

15a/20a Switch
Good thinking re 20A switch. Another indicator of quality is "HP" rating of switch. Some newer mfg may not include it. Too many switches are rated with no consideration given to "peak/max current" when turning motor on/off(yes both count[max surge 'make/on' and current interrupt ...

Pdf Manuals
It appears SS would rather SELL you a manual rather than GIVE you one on line.
Can't much blame them!! Makes business sense to me. At least you CAN get them for "older" products.
Good Luck with "new" SS.

Why are you making these "wooden things"?
1) If for profit, read the book!
2) If for recipient's pleasure, forget the book.
3) If for YOUR pleasure, Throw the book away!
Happy New Year:D

China Again???
Yes the original subject has altered. The shift was relevant. Every one may comment as they deem important to them. I APPLAUD SS in their tolerance of this (and others) thread. Back to original subject. There are both "good" and "bad" fabricators of everything. Their geographical...
