I have found my SS will cut through any wood no matter how thick if they do not exceed full depth of cut. Frankly if you believe a table saw is the main tool in a work shop , and I am not saying you do, buy a table saw! At best the SS is a compromise. Hey in the “my growth rings” YouTube video he went over setting up the lathe part of the SS. He said it was the most important part of the SS set up. He mentioned using the set screw in back side of left side way tube foundation. This may explain a lot of alignment problems. https://youtu.be/w_SS67q...
