Tape Measures, A Continuation

You sound like my ex son in law the contractor. He absolutely refused to wear a tool belt unless he was nailing something. On a house we spend half our time trying to find the tool he laid down right there. I finally made him wear a tool belt and we found that on an average day we got twice the work compared to the days he didn't wear the belt.

I don't know when I learned that lesson but I wear a shop apron. Each tool has its own pocket and I always put the tool back into the correct pocket. My apron has pockets for visiting tools, tools I don't usually carry.

The apron has a pocket for the tape measure, pencil, pen, note pad, 6 inch rule, marking knife, utility knife, shop smith tool, nail set, small block plane, try square.

It is hot at times, and often when I take it off my shirt and top of the apron is soaked. Once you get use to wearing it you sweat less and you almost seem naked without it.

I have a Wood working apron, a electronics apron, a carpenters tool belt, and a electricians tool belt. Each is loaded with the common tools for the particular type or work. Depending on the job I put one on.

Can't plumb worth a dime so i don't have a plumbers tool belt or bag. My most useful tool while plumbing is prayer lots and lots of prayer and I still usually have a leak.

Actually if I had, had a say He never would have made son in law status to begin with. However once he became my son in law I learned to love him as a son. Then the daughter kicked him to the curb for good reason but it was still like losing a child. Very painful for us the in laws.
