You may have covered this in 'another thread', however, how is the coupler hub attached to the shaft? Hub bored out to 13/16?

Yes, just not soon. Have to finish refurb first, but makes good sense to enable the 10E to drive SPT's.shipwright wrote:Sounds like more than a passing interest. Are you planning to make one?

I picked up a 2"x5/8" pulley this aft. Will fabricate a bushing to go between new pulley and cone pulley&13/16" shaft.

Like may things, there is more than one way to approach this. As I recall, one user over on the yahoo group used a short section of the splined shaft from an old quill. This was inserted through the headstock pulley into the drive sleeve and the drive hub attached to the splined shaft. I don't recall how the shaft was secured in the sleeve and my 10ER is not readily visibleJPG40504 wrote:Yes, just not soon. Yes the od of the spline is about 5/8" and it sticks out of the end of the main shaft when fully retracted. I initially thought that might be how his was done. That is why a sleeve is required between the step pulley and the added pulley/shaft/hub. My current thinking is to secure the new sleeve to the main shaft with a set screw rather than drill into the step pulley. The new pulley would attach to the new sleeve.
If I can get fancy enough, The new sleeve could be made to directly adapt the 13/62 main shaft to the 5/8" shaft for the hub and allow clearance for the spline shaft protrusion.(one piece)

Take a sack lunch with you on that journey!;)
Check his profile for a glimpse of his retirement boat project under sail.
You should see the black walnut columns in his house! Segmented like a mast. He posted that somewhere on here!
I said it before - saying it again - synonym for a craftsman is Shipwright!
