Mobility ideas needed
I have needed to take my 510 to several job sights lately. I am trying to come up with some way to transport it over rough terrain from my enclosed trailer to the job sight. The factory casters are great for concrete floors but not any help for good old uneven ground, rough asphalt or even muddy freshly graded job sights. I plan to leave the casters in place and do not want to add to the over all height. Put on you thinking hats!:)

This is not mine... Someone posted it and I saved the picture just to keep the idea in my head. As I recall the "hitch" removes by pulling one pin.
I really liked the idea.

I have one of those "trailer dollies" already that I use on a camper.

A "pallet jack" sort of deal.
I think you are on to something here. Although I like the Farmer/Mayo cart I would like to keep mine on the original legs and casters for when I use it in the shop. Lifting from the bottom of the tubes would also help with the unit being top heavy.

This might be an option... I've been researching a similar issue for my Lumber Smith portable sawmill. How to get it from trailer into backyards and such. Not cheap though.

Getting a dinghy up the beach and back presents a similar problem. You will find some good ideas if you search "dinghy wheels".
Here's an example. They fold up or down and lock in place.

Paul M ........ The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese
I was leaving a home depot store recently and saw a fellow had a table saw mounted on an angle iron frame that allowed the base under the table saw to sit an inch or two above the ground and on each end had what appeared to be small bicycle wheels mounted on axles that were high enough that he only had a couple of inches clearance from the ground but those huge wheels would give him ability to roll the thing anywhere. It reminded me of Bill Mayo's cart and explanation of the bigger wheels being required for uneven or porous surfaces like gravel. When we moved from Virginia I built an overgrown furniture dolly to size of shopsmith. It had only 5" wheels and did not work well in gravel. Jim
