Using floating tables as outfeed support

I remember several years ago that Shopsmith had some brackets that allowed you to set up the floating tables as outfeed support. I have looked over the web sight and do not see them. Does anyone have them and know what the item # is?

I have them and the item number is 555997.

Thanks Rob. I am a little disappointed that there is not a picture of how they work on the web sight. Anyone here have good or bad things to say about the brackets? At over 75 bucks shipped I would like to know that I will like them.

If these are what you are thinking about, I use them frequently. I have also incorporated them into a setup version of my home made outfeed table. They work quite well.

I do try to avoid a lot of weight on the outfeed table when using these. You can cantilever just so much and then something must give. If I suspect too much weight, I simply install the support leg. Either way the table adjusts up and down and can be tilted.

As I recall, I used the 20% (CON500) discount you always receive after an online order to buy them to lessen the pain. I also recall that in one use in drill press mode, brackets used for infeed and MKV support table in place for out feed. I had the 520 fence set up on the left edge of the table and I had some interference between the fence and the brackets. Sorry that I do not remember more.

I like them quite well and have even thought about getting a second set. Of course for me that is a lot of money but for the general population I think the cost is easily off set by the added functions.

Take a look here to see them used on both the front and the rear of the main table. A few other setups shown as well.

This is a really neat solution for when you need that extra table space with the bandsaw. Thanks for the posting. I had never seen the Tip.

However, since my bandsaw lives almost exclusively on the Power Station, I would need a different arrangement. Fortunately, my bandsaw work hardly ever demands a larger table.

It all boils down to what you use your tools for. Obviously, we do not all have the same needs and priorities.
