ER Belt Change

This is my first ER and just cleaning it up a bit. The upper belt was wore and the lower was an old red link belt. I have 2 belts that match up with the help of some ER folks, but I need pointers I guess on the best method of install.
I have the speed changer and I know this is supposed to be a breeze to switch between set ups. I've looked through the original manual and the original speed changer sheet, I don't see any best practices here.
Please advise.
On some days I feel my IQ is well over 30, not today.

I just bought a speedchanger for my ER and I raise the motor to loosen the tension on the belts and just unscrew the retaining nut on the end of the speedchanger and slide off the pulley and belts from the speedchanger. It was pretty easy. I read it somewhere on the instructions for the accessory.

Thank you sir I will mess with it tomorrow. I do remember seeing where someone made a board to help hold the motor up during a belt change.
Loosen and raise the motor / middle pully ass off / upper pulley off as well?

You shouldn't have to remove the headstock pulley or the motor pulley. When the belts are loose, by raising the motor, just slide off the belts as you are removing the speedchanger pulleys. It seems to be a very easy belt change, on my ER anyway.
