My new plywood workbench.... It's Different.

Post by shipwright »

I'm posting this after reading this thread which referred to a few of my videos, plywood bench building and hide glue. My new bench involves all of these but I didn't want to mention it there and hijack the thread so here it is for your discussion in a thread of its own. Yes, it is almost all plywood.

There are Lumberjocks posts about the bench and its three very different vices

here, here and here and a seven part construction blog that starts here.

I look forward to any comments you may have. Sorry, not SS made but certainly could be.

Thanks for posting here Paul. I saw this on LJ and intend to make my own (Once I squirrel away the funds and materials.) Another fine example of craftsmanship from a master.

I hope mine will be half as good as yours.

Paul, can you post the rough dimensions of the wedge, and the upper and lower parallel guide for the leg vise?

That Sketchup was done by a friend who is much better at it than I am. It should give you everything you need. If there's anything I can help with, Just ask.

Thanks
