Mine has 4. Drill chuck key, too.

Since I had an E model, I used the tailstock from the E, on the headstock, with the "homemade" wooden extension table (made a replacement table, didn't ruin the old one) drilled to hold lathe chisels on the left end.

I couldn't recall the bench top on my 10-ER having 3 holes in it. I just now went downstairs and looked and I was right. It didn't have 3 holes in it... It has 5...

4 of them are about 1/4" and the 5th close to 1/2" but maybe a little under. While looking I decided that I will drill that hole on out to 1/2" and glue a short dowel in it to sit the drill chuck on.
That sounds like it should make a good 3 day woodworking project at my current working speed.

Should also be a good excuse to buy some serious new tools.

Do I know how to work this system or not...
