Very reasonable question. The answer is simply because I have had no problems using the table saw that could conceivably be caused by the table not being flat. This opinion is not based on the measurements but rather is empirical.
On the other hand, I have drilled a significant number of holes that turned out to be not perfectly square to the face of the work piece.
These measurements were taken with a table that I use all the time for TS operations.
The amount of error is also significant. There are very few, if any cuts that I make on the TS that would be seriously effected by an error less than .009". That, btw, was the largest error I noted on that table. Therefore, I feel no risk.
In the DP mode, however, an error =>.009" could conceivably become a problem; especially when doweling.
