different barrel size for different stock thickness.
I do not see any 'snap' screws!:(;)

[quote="JPG40504"]120 ear rings.:eek:

Man your daughter has a lot of 'ears' - sorta like a fly's eye(s)?:D

Nice Job!!!!:cool:

Like the 'snap' screws in addition to the hinges. Source?????:confused:

Do please show it to us after JPW!]Snap screws are magnetic catches from Rockler. The barrel hinges are much cheaper through Amazon. I used 10mm for this project.

Ah, but I have two cans of JPW for machines and one can of JPW for "woodworking". So no dirty wax on this earring case.;)

I was referring to the black wax finish that accentuates the pores etc. Ala Chris Schwartz of Popular Woodworking finish for mahogany.

Great job on a great project!

Now all you need to do is get a gift card to go along with, so she can start filling this case while you build another....

Thanks for showing us the project.

My wife took a liking to it while it was being built, so there may be another.

Thanks to all for the nice comments.

Love it!

I already splurged ($1!) on the plans, and am currently deciding whether to make two (for teenage daughters) or three, to score points with the wife as well. Am pretty sure that the daughters could already fill the suckers up with costume jewelry.

I think that I will do each in a different wood. Kevin at http://www.curlymaplewood.com/ has some cutoffs (aka "hobby packs") of beautiful wood that are just about the right size for this project, in the $15-20 ballpark. Curly maple, curly cherry, curly walnut, etc.

Hope to post photos of my own, sometime around Christmas. :)
