I have a few old ones that I have reconditioned and I'm learning to sharpen. I'm finding that hand tools (especially quality vintage ones setup and sharpened properly) are much faster for the "One-Off" type of wood working that I do.
They are also much much quieter and produce way less fine dust (almost none) especially with chisels and planes.
I still use my machines (especially lathe and band saw) but I'm using hand tools more and more.
