510 Sanding Disk

Post by cantputt »

I'm a new owner of a 510 that did not come with a sanding disk. What do I want to pick up? Alum? Steel? Velcro? etc?

Shopsmith steel with long(505-520) arbor.

Velcro is a personal 'preference'. I do not like it. But then I have several discs. The velcro is 'removable'.

The older aluminum discs and the shorter arbor will work, but only off the side of the table.

Just my luck. Allready sold. Is this one the correct arbor? This seller has some other parts I could pick up also.

That hub looks to be for a mark5. Also some rust on the disk.. You'd do well to know the shopsmith new price when looking at ebay items. http://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/cata ... ngdisc.htm

I got confirmation from the seller that it is a long shaft. Thought it was. hopefully they don't add it to the listing and drive the price up.

Ebay seems to be the place to purchase? What is the right price range?
