Some suggested uses for model 500 table and parts

Sorry for the LONG delay
Here is my use of an old 500 table. I can use all of my fences on it.
Now if I can modify it so it fits on my new MK7, i'd be even happier...

carrage difference
fences fit, but I was mounting it in the carrage. different widths between the 500 and the Mark 7.

I have a 500 that I was going to part out this spring, but keep the table to make a router table. Now I think I'll use the proceeds from the parts to buy a 510 table. Had thought about grinding enough off the bottom of the table to allow the router base to set flush about 1/8" from the top. However, like everything I design in my head before I build, the final product will look nothing like the original!

I just uncover an area where I had stored a lot of Shopsmith parts many years ago. I found a four 510 tables, two with rails and but only one with trunnion along with several 510 fences. These tables will require a good cleaning as some corrosion has started to occur. Also a Mark VII frame and good looking lower tubes. If anyone just needs a 510 main table, please contact me off-line and I can send pictures.benush26 wrote:Hi Steve,
