More custom tool rest information

Post by reible »

Hi,

I have been out to the IAP (http://www.penturners.org) to connect with Rick Herrel to pick up a flat top tool rest. I've sent him a request but found this:

http://www.penturners.org/forum/f227/20 ... ng-118987/

Which seems to indicate as of 2/1/14 he has a sale on with 20% off, I didn't see an ending date and he has not gotten back to me about my order but I thought a few of you might like to take advantage of this if you can.

I have a tool post, 4", 6", 8" tool tool rest and drive center from him. This stuff is really well made and if you can afford it well worth it.

Here are a couple of links from previous discussions.

My flat top tool rest arrived today. Of course I had to mount it on the post to see how it looked. Since I'm sure all of you know what this is already I'll not take the time to explain but I will give you a look see.

Since I've not used one yet I went with a 3" length and the center mount. Have to see how that works out.
