That removes the highlight (indicating that the post has now been read) but if you leave the site and then come back - the post will be "unread".lv2wdwrk wrote:Click on 'Mark Forums Read' at the bottom of the forums list.

Why do posts that I have read keep coming back as UNREAD?
Is this something I can cure or is it inherent with the site?
A couple of questions for you, then I'll try to answer yours:
- What browser and operating system are you using?
- Is your browser accepting cookies, or do you have them turned off?
- What do you mean by, "...leave the [SS] site and come back" (how do you leave it and how long before you return?)

I use Windows 7 with Firefox.
I allow cookies.
When I initially said this, I was going to other web sites to browse and then came back to the SS site without closing the browser.
I have since tried closing the browser completely and then come back in to the SS site. It seems to perform differently but I still find posts that I have read are highlighted (indicating not having been read). I have not delayed return to the site for any extended period.

By "unread", do you mean showing up when you click the "New Posts" link, or do you mean bolded?dusty wrote:Allow me to repeat my questions.

And I assume you're not moving between computers when it happens.

Do you open a NEW TAB to browse other web sites?
