Hi Guys,
Although our shopsmith parts with their 55+ year history are wonderfully interchangeable there are differences.
I have three Shopsmith miter gauges each with a slightly different miter bar design and with two different types of nylon glide screws. (These are in addition to any steel set screws that may have been installed for holding stop bars, or allen keys, etc.) Here is a photo of the two designs side by side. Note that the miter metal castings are different in addition to the differences in the nylon glides themselves. Therefore the glides are not interchangable. There must be two different part numbers.

Hope this helps,
Dennis

Yea! I found my missing $10 glide screw!
It was hiding in a front corner of one of my small drawer compartments, used for special short term storage. Since the bottom of the drawer is Masonite (almost the same color as the screw) it was missed on several unsuccessful searches.
