Some knowledgeable person please tell us what this headstock is? What is it used for? Appears to have a blower fan on the front or vacuum if run in reverse. Have no idea what the drive on the back is for? Appears to be SS made.
I have never seen one like it.

The impeller on the front was indeed for an ineffectual vacuum(the blower housing was polystyrene and fragile and is missing).
