found something

Post by farley »

I read about all the problems and hassles-- but I found a set of Shopsmith Maxi-Clamps.

The story is more interested than using the clamps

I have been in my house for almost two years, it came with a shop and some tools.

on this one shelf sat a small box of little boxes that you organize small nuts and bolts in them, plastic store brought, everyone has seen them, maybe all own one.

So since the pervious owner box was smaller then mine, I put his on top of mine on the shelf.

Today doing something I look over and saw the shelf and said "why would he build a box for a shelf". "I tapped underneath--it even has a bottom"!

so I take off the organizers and the top has hinges and sure enough inside was a Shopsmith Maxi-Clamp system with booklet.

If only there was a BIG box laying around with a SS in it.

Farley

I have a Maxi-clamp set in the original box purchased in about 1985 never used even once. It seemed at the time it would be useful for a lot of things.

"A lot of things" just never seemed to come along;)
