Long time admirer, first time owner
For those Bob and Tom fans, you'll recognize that :-)
I've been admiring the Shopsmith for the past 30+ years, and finally bit the bullet and ordered a Mark 7. We just moved to the Tucson area from Indianapolis, and I decided to sell my Harley, and bought the Mark 7 as my substitute toy. I've enjoyed woodworking since shop class days in high school, and now that I've been retired a few years, I'm finding more time to enjoy the things I miss from my younger days. The smell of fresh cut wood is a delight, and glad to be back into it.

Hi Ken. I just joined this forum too. I also have been looking at the Shopsmith for 30+ years. and am also recently retired. I took delivery of a new mark 7 in July. I guess what they say is true, "Great minds think alike".
Just waiting to get the electric on in the shop and I'll be good to go.
