Long time admirer, first time owner

Post by kenharry »

For those Bob and Tom fans, you'll recognize that :-)

I've been admiring the Shopsmith for the past 30+ years, and finally bit the bullet and ordered a Mark 7. We just moved to the Tucson area from Indianapolis, and I decided to sell my Harley, and bought the Mark 7 as my substitute toy. I've enjoyed woodworking since shop class days in high school, and now that I've been retired a few years, I'm finding more time to enjoy the things I miss from my younger days. The smell of fresh cut wood is a delight, and glad to be back into it.

Hi Ken. I just joined this forum too. I also have been looking at the Shopsmith for 30+ years. and am also recently retired. I took delivery of a new mark 7 in July. I guess what they say is true, "Great minds think alike".:) Just waiting to get the electric on in the shop and I'll be good to go.

Welcome to the forum, Ken and, welcome to AZ.
Tucson is becoming a hotbed of SS owners.

Noooooooo! Not the Harley? Proud rider and SS owner here. Brother, you can ride all year long in this weather! Anyway, enjoy your new SS and I'm sure you'll be on two wheels again soon!
