Wipped it out this week!!
I needed a step stool and a gong holder for the 5 O Clock Hour!;)
The goal here was the 2.5* angle on the construction, side and back. We can all make something, the key is to be unique, in wood, style, joinery, ect!!!

You almost won!!! BD, Yes Ash, first dyed, with medium brown, then a wash coat of 1 1/2 cut Shellac, then buff with maroon pad, then stained with dark walnut, then 3 coasts of oil poly.BuckeyeDennis wrote:I'm going to guess that it's ash. With a base coat of stain, then sealer, and then the grain highlighted with a darker stain that stays down in the pores.
Dye first for color, then wash coat to seal the wood but not the pores, oil/pignant stain to fill the pours for depth and other color of choice/compliment!!!

2 projects in motion, 2 drawers, one for under the ER DP, since a shorty only 13" wide. 11" deep. X the 15" front to back. Er lathe, same drawer sixw but 31" wide.
Dumpster diving, got black PB shelving for sides and back, fronts will be Ash, dyed black and then with the above prossess, stain black, Ebonised. The other is from grey elm, first time with that same price a brd ft. Going to dye it cherry, then a cherry stain, will post pics,
If the grain pattern is the same, yo0u can make any wood look like another!!!
