Interesting that yours has slots thicker than the web site drawing.
Perhaps Carob is the reason for the 'new' SS version(Carob has redesigned theirs?).

First a question. You show the slot to be 0.1625" wide. Are the blades not wider than the molder head is thick?
I have a molder that bears the Shopsmith name. It was purchased at the same time I bought the Mark V which makes it the model being sold about 26 years ago (1987-1988).
It is 3.610" in diameter and .875" thick. These dimensions are consistent with the Carob drawing. The slots are .129" thick (.004" thicker than the blades which are .125").
Unless I am missing something, new cutters should fit in my molder head.

A 0.1575" thick blade will not fit into a 0.129" slot.
0.1625 is the carob slot width.

The Carob drawing shows the slot to be 0.1350" wide which is wide enough to accept my blades which are 0.1250". In fact, there might be too much space to be safe. If the blades that Mike has are in fact 0.1575" thick as stated, they will not fit in the slot depicted in the Carob drawing.

Mike, your cutters (0.1575" thick) will not fit in the slot which is only 0.1350" wide. We are not comparing apples with apples.
Is there a part number stamped in the side of your cutter head and if so, is it the same as in the photo image that I posted. Note that the drawing to which JPG refers also bears that same part number.
