Rather than using an air compressor, which I did for years:
Now I use the leaf blower, outside (wearing a mask). The Stihl gas blower makes quick work of it, and I don't have so much "blowback" of dust.

PS: If you have a Dyson vacuum, the leaf blower works well for that, too

Brilliant rcplaneguy, simply brilliant! I had not considered the leaf blower for cleaning the dc canister. My blower is electric but it still produces a lot more wind than my compressor. I just need to be sure the neighbors don't have any laundry hanging outside.

PS For a few minutes I thought you used your leaf blower to blow off chips from your drill press :)
