Thanks JS, and in your pics was just the tail stock set up I was looking for, HF, those 2 2.99 castors!!! Eyed ball the height and left to right of center, the trusted eye is a wonderful thing. So is an ER with a speed changer!!!!
In the transport of the rehab one, lost a key part, vibrated out, need to look it all over to describe it so JPG does not beat me up and of course a pic of the other one, it is in the base that pivots up into DP mode, I hope some one has one but unlikely, will machine one if I have too.

Thanks JPG I would call it that, but since there is 2 of them, one on each side, it did,does not run all the way across.
Second, now that the tubes are all bright and shiny, pentroled, buffed and waxed, what is the best way to approach the cast iron bores on all of the pieces that go on the way tubes? They are derusted, but since it is bare cast iron, what works the best on them for rust prevention?
