Did I mention I went shopping for jig saw blade lately?
I guess I'm pretty out of touch with jig saw blades of late. OK I don't use mine all that often but still.
Yet another blade that I had not seen before. It is designed to cut on the down stoke, to do so the blade is much thicker then a normal blade. Have not gotten to use these yet but it might be interesting, or I hope so anyway.
I'm not sure if you will see the model number in the picture so it is DW3762H in case you want to read up on them or shop for them.
So has anyone tried these?

I used the one that came in an assortment package by Bosch. Same idea. I found I had to go slower than I normally do and any SLIGHT upward or sideways pressure change by me (like getting a different grip to make a curved cut), caused the saw to jump and scar the cut. It might have been me (and probably was
), but the saw seemed to wander more than usual.
I don't have many projects where the cut laminate is exposed, but I still prefer a good couple of layers of painters tape marking the way. Then a nice file to pretty up the edge.
Just my 2 cents.
Be well,
Ben

Methinks constant downward pressure would be required.

Since retiring I have avoided as much pressure as possible!JPG wrote:Methinks constant downward pressure would be required.
Though in this case I WILL take it under advisement.
