Mark VII Parts

It would seem like the yoke could be pressed into a mark v control sheeve if a bearing with the correct od could be found ?

The cams are less of a problem.. Some on eBay.

The hub extension is a different length. The Mark VII is shorter, hence the need to machine it.

Rack repair parts are also on e-bay.

At least its shorter and not longer! Aluminum is a son of a gun to stretch!

I have heard, but not seen a Mark VII that has the headstock replaced with a Mark V headstock. My understanding is that you have to take off the rack, but that too is an often sought part.

You would lose reverse, unless you invest in reversing an existing motor or buy one of the headstocks on eBay that has had it done.

I don't know of anyone active in the forums who has done it, but there may well be some. When you are seeking hard to locate parts, the Mark V headstocks can often be had for a modest amount and those parts are available.

You can retain the Mark VII headstock and repair it when a part becomes available.

Just a thought to get you making sawdust again....
