I'd say, Go for it... If your not happy with the set-up, You can always return the machine back to original! Nothing ventured, Nothing gained!!!!

Having upgraded my 500 to a 520 and also having a Mk-7, I have two sets of matching extension/auxiliary tables. So, when needed (rarely), I am able to configure one of the setups as shown, using two end tables, two floating tables, plus two more floating tables used as outfeed support. This picture was taken simply to demonstrate the maximum possible configuration. I generally only need one or two end tables or the outfeed configuration. Adjusting the table height when multiple tables are interconnected is definitely a pain.
