Bowed Cast Iron Bandsaw table.

I did check for square with my Wixey. On the "Starboard" side the blade read 89.7 and the "port" side 90.7. Not sure how that is possible but that's the reading. Two inches out from the blade on the table starboard side I zeroed and placed it two inches on the port side and gained 2 degrees. Now I have to figure out what all that means!

The two angles will add up to 180. So < 90 on the starboard side means > 90 on the port side. The .4 degree 'error' is likely due to measurement inaccuracy. Wixey accuracy = +-????? Measuring to a non-flat blade????

The Wixey agrees that the table is not flat!

The two angles should add up to 180. However, I doubt that the Wixey is the major contributing factor. My experience with the Wixey indicates better performance than that.

I've got a couple of Wixeys so I'll double ck and make sure I'm consistent as to where I place them etc.

I agree, but, worst case could account for half of it and that assumes the wixey is 'up to spec'.

I have little faith in measuring the blade angles to that precision in the first place without deflecting it in the process.

Short of regrinding the CI table, I see little likelihood of getting it flat.

If the table cannot be flattened what would you fellas suggest as options?
I'd like to get it set up for resawing because I'm wanting to make small boxes and while I have other saws this would be the best setup.

Try for a different table.(a gamble on used ones).

You have a flat plate 'grinder'. Might be worth a try.
