I have no idea how this happened but there I am at my local Menard's store to get a few things and I happen upon these bins of quick couplers in brass and $1.99 each. With my possible plan for using these I just couldn't resist so here are a start, 10 allocated just for this.
They also had some other stuff on sale and of course they too needed couplers so I had to get them too.
This allows for a local adjustment and reading as show here as an example:
Now I have decide if 10 is enough for the project and I also need to find my 1/4" NPT tap and see how these thread into wood. A plan is taking effect slowly.
