Polar Vortex? What is that.

We, (Shipwright, TooTall and me) don't live in the "Great White North" part of Canada.
We live on an island in the Pacific.

(Think Seattle with a lot less rain.)
When there is an El Nino our weather actually gets milder.

Most winters we only get two to four snow falls, one or two inches each) and it all melts in a day or two, this winter we didn't have any snow at all, and I only had to scrape frost from my windshield a handful of days.
Plants have been blooming here for months already.

These poor lilac are waiting to be rescued from the blackberrys coming through the fence from next door.

The roses started getting leaves at the end of January, the flower buds should be opening soon.
