Finished Bubinga bowl

Finished up the Bubinga bowl today. Bubinga is interesting wood. Very nice grain pattern to it.

Very nice! I haven't had much shop time the last couple of months but this is inspiring!

Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them. :)

As you have observed, Mason, - Agreed - That is a beautiful piece of wood and a gorgeous turned bowl! Congratulations on your work!

Of particular notice is the smooth transition between the sides and the bowl bottom. Very Nice! :D

The bowl is for one of my oldest friends who I believe will be using it as a fruit bowl. She requested that profile from an earlier bowl I had made and in a dark wood.

Very cool looking bowl. Nice work. Did you use a food safe finish?

I use Danish oil finish almost exclusively unless it is obviously going to be used for direct food contact in which case I use mineral oil. This one I used Watco.
