I hope this helps?

I have 2 12" sanding disc from the last 2 SS CL recuses, one from a 51 ER, Aluminum, with the old Garnet sand paper on it. They other a Steel one from the Grayling, with a self adhesive backing paper. I put both out in the summer sun today for a couple hours, then the sanding sheet peeled right off, to see the glue mess on the plate surface, steel one was pretty clean, but the old add the adhesive to the Aluminum one was bad . I put a sheet of news paper on both, and I have Naphtha, Mineral Spirits and DN Alcohol in little squirt bottles. I saturated the news paper with MS since it has the slowest evap rate of the 3,
I let it sit for an hour and added some more to keep it saturated. A hour the same, 30 minutes later wiped them off with the news paper and got 50% if it off, then just took a Putty Knife and the rest cane off EASY, then just did a wipe 2 times with a rag with some MS on it to get rid of any tackiness.

Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them. :)

"I put both out in the summer sun today for a couple hours..."

How? Summer didn't start until TODAY!

And, in Wisconsin, can we REALLY call it "summer?"
(Sunday was 118, yesterday, 115, today, again, 115.)
And, I couldn't call it "summer" until today. :D

Just messin' with you' bro! Glad to hear you found the
right recipe.

steve
10 ER, stripped down.
Basic 10ER, Parts machine. Will be a semi-dedicated drill-press machine.
10 ER, a "survivor" of the trailer fire, in the back yard, needing restoration. Has a Mk5 headrest. Finally, stripped down.
Numerous parts, for Model 10 stuff. Except for lower saw guard, A and B adapters, I've got it.

Looking for one more, or some 9 inch extension table raisers.

Oh, "charcoal" lighter fluid works GREAT for this.

Unfortunately, works REAL BADLY for lighting charcoal.
(Unless you LIKE the taste of kerosene-cooked food.)

Did you see the temps I posted? I lived through them!

Bro, if I could reach through the InterWab, (that
Al Gore invented,) I'd slap you with a trout. :D
