Tool storage

I desperately need a method or storage system for an extra main table, aux. table, belt sander and jointer.
My open wall space is almost non existent. The floor is my only option. So, some sort off cart, maybe?
I've attempted a forum search to no avail.
Do any of you old hands have any ideas? I'd be ever so grateful for any and all suggestions.

You can either make separate dollies or one that holds all. I made separate dollies but it's up to you and the amount of space you have. This is from Popular Mechanics Dec 1981, Page 172

Gene are you sure you want to bend over that far to lift these tools up? The dollies might be a good idea but there have been other designs that bring the tools to waist height. Much better for older backs!

Ed, I've been giving that a lot of thought.
I really do not relish the idea of picking even a hammer off the floor. Fat, back and hip problems and weak knees. As they say "Getting old ain't for sissies."
Can you point me towards those other designs of which you speak? I'd be most appreciative.

Gene what I built was a rolling cabinet with drawers. The top is the same height as the spt holes on the SS so no real liftin. The top of the cabinet is 18" X 60" which is about the same footprint as th SS. On top I have wooden blocks roughly the dimension of a 4X4 's (3 1/2" square) by about 14" long with holes bores to support the spt's and the main table. On the back of the cabinet I have the floating tables and a few other SS accessories mounted. It has served me well for a number of years. I can post pictures when I get home.

Hey Gene,

I apologize for the messy and bad picture. My cousin still has his crap everywhere so I am still unable to get to most things. so I reached over as close as I could get to take this BAD picture its of the cart i made for the 2 bandsaws, jointer and belt sander (actually the belt sander extension was an afterthought, that's why it is so much lower [no room on the main table]). The table height is a few inches shorter than the height to mount the SPT on the SS. I would guess that it could be a bit higher to aid making the transfer, but if it seems to be or does become a problem I'll make adjustments to the table bottom (adding leg length and bigger casters)

For the SPT legs, I just drilled pieces of 2x4, gluing them to the table surface rather than trying to precisely measure for the space between holes. I also figured that drilling holes in the table top would make the SPTs too difficult for me to get out (rather than using the blocks to build up the holder). I did end up putting a small block under one end of the jointer to keep it more stable. The far end has a grab handle (about where the table on the band saw is) so I can move the cart more easily.

Because you wrote about holding an extra main and aux table ....
my next step (after I finally get some place to move around) is to make a horizontal storage area [moveable wall] (about 45" by 7') on casters to hold all the basic SS items on one side (tables, fence, blades, miter gauge, etc), with less used things on the other side. I made a quick Sketchup drawing using rectangular blocks the approximate size of each piece to aid in layout. Where I think it is convenient plus how often or not I'll use the piece (that is also the reason to have the back side available for less used pieces). I plan to remove the 2x8 attached to the front of the SS where most of it now sets. I think it will be easier to bring that wall over to the SS when I need it rather than crowd all those pieces in front on the storage 2x8 or walk over to the side storage and back each time. But then again maybe I'm just being WAY too lazy!
