BS upgrade cover a joke

Re: BS upgrade cover a joke
Just got off the phone with CS sending out a new one on Monday..lol..she didn't bat an eye, told her what it looked like and I could send pics, said didn't need it and she would have my new one inspected prior to ship out and require a sig so fedex would have to let me know when they delivered ..lol..phone connection was a little wonky had a bad double echo, little un-nerving trying to speak hearing every thing I said a few sec after I said it thinking she was probably on some kind of head set, weird, basically had to talk with the phone away from my ear.
Little off the subject but if they are trying to improve CS little things like poor packing, bad phone connection can make or break a person perception of a company. Opening for CS on Sat good step in the right direction, offering a new item immediately also good, doing what she said they will do on the original order would have been better option ...best CS is when you don't need CS, just my opinion we will see how the new cover comes out.

You had bad voice reception on your end and immediately assume it was caused at the distant end. Maybe but maybe not.
I hope you made mention of this while speaking with CS.
Do you really want 100% quality inspection. It does cost money and the expense will be passed on to the customer (you). By the way, your description of the cover you received does not represent my two band saw covers at all. Paper thin! Really. Maybe a slight exaggeration due to your frustration.

Well have had my phone for 6 or 7 years and it has never done that, the one and only time I have talked to SS it was bad, seems reasonable to blame them on the connection...lol..and yes I let her know I was having the echo problem, as for the thin issue I mention above that on closer inspection it was only thin at the break and stress marks from the insp window to the top corner of the cut out, which is why it broke. This was a bad mold job straight up, you could see the white strips across the cover, 100% QC, who ever boxed this thing QC or not had to see this, he didn't think it necessary to mention this to someone, the whole thing could have been avoided is all I am saying.dusty wrote:You had bad voice reception on your end and immediately assume it was caused at the distant end. edit: almost forgot the little plexi window, who knows where that is, asked if it was suppose to come with one, yep was suppose to have one, guess it fell out of the box

I think you live in a dream world. I doubt seriously that the person who packages these things is responsible for any quality inspection. Pack it up and get it out of here.GoNavy wrote:Well have had my phone for 6 or 7 years and it has never done that, the one and only time I have talked to SS it was bad, seems reasonable to blame them on the connection...lol..and yes I let her know I was having the echo problem, as for the thin issue I mention above that on closer inspection it was only thin at the break and stress marks from the insp window to the top corner of the cut out, which is why it broke. I'm just glad to hear that you have a new one coming to replace this one.

Re: BS upgrade cover a joke
Funky phone reception is a recent phenomenon. Back in the 'old' days it only got weak due to line distance.
Since then we have 'gotten' multiplexing, cell phones and y'all only know what. None of it is as good as the old days - cheaper, more convenient, yes - better, no.
To say nothing of today's 'instruments'. We were lucky to have had Western Electric back then.

Re: BS upgrade cover a joke
I tried a test call today and received the same echo problem, verifying the problem is on our end.
I'll be checking/correcting the problem and expect it will be resolved prior to next Saturday's continuation of the test.

Re: BS upgrade cover a joke
You guys fail to mention where customer service is. From my experience which has been a lot in the last few years, it seems about 80 to 90 percent of the time you end up talking to someone in Ireland, Pakistan, Bulgaria, or maybe the Philippines regarding "Customer Service". This is of course after you have punched every number on the phone trying to talk to a live human being.
Why are you shocked!! at a bad connecion?? and I wear hearing aids.

Re: BS upgrade cover a joke
I doubt SS CS is over seas, I bet though it is not some one in the office in OH, but set up at there home and calls are transferred there and pulling up info on there computer.

Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them.
