Re: Interesting Tractor
Those rear fenders look like an 30 ish Mercedes race car but not as high.
Again, in jest, JPG always has to get the last word in, BUT why I am the last poster at night, minus sometimes Skou or Charlese that are on CA time?
My private time, after mom is to bed at 1100 ish PM Central time.
Love ya all here.
Thanks for putting up with me and all

The Greatness officially starts
Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them.

Re: Interesting Tractor
There's a whole bunch of pretty photos of a very similar tractor at the link below, plus a bit of historical info. I'll defer to Farmer as to whether it is the exact same model. I did spot one set of bolt holes with a different pattern than on the tractor in the original post.

Re: Interesting Tractor
The hole in the front of the tractor was primarily used for inserting a hand crank for starting. But a hydraulic pump could be run from there as well. Batteries were mostly 6 volts at that time and had a hard life so cranking was often used. And an orchard tractor it surely is.
Re: Interesting Tractor
That's why we used to park the mowing tractors facing down hill at night on the golf course where I worked. Not enough battery to start them when the engine was cold.drl wrote:The hole in the front of the tractor was primarily used for inserting a hand crank for starting.
