Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them. :)

P.S. I would use a 'hand saw'.

As I read through everyones thoughts I kept thinking..." no matter which way I go it won't matter because it will turn out not to be the size stock I need next."

That said, there were some really good thoughts that I will include in my decision making process, in the future.

It all really depends on what you think you will need and the best time to have that discussion with yourself is before you make the first cut in the full size work piece. It might be referred to as "project planning". I say "might" because I am not real familiar with that process.

It'll get used; all but the very small pieces (of which I have three containers). Used to burn those in the back yard fire pit but "burn restrictions all changed that.

The scap pile is an ever growing entity and the challenge is to find a use for it all no matter what size ply you have left over !

I have a 30Gal plastic trashcan under the right side of my Powermatic table saw. Every time I have a small cut off I agonize over putting it in the trash can or with all the other small scraps. It depends on the day. Sometimes common sense takes over and I put in the trash can but most days not. :D :D

The trash can gets burned in my wood stove so I don't have a problem getting rid of the scrap.
