10ER Quill Spring

Is the 10ER quill spring the same as the MK V quill spring? They certainly look the same but are the dimensions the same?

This question has been brought up before. I think the consensus was that they are (or at least close enough to interchange from the Mark V to the 10ER.

Because 10ER springs are sometimes broken. Yes you can fix the key hole slot ( I have done that) but sometimes there are other issues.

They are occasionally available on eBay from simon*e (Simon Eng?). I have bought one from him and it was fine.

You can only buy the spring from SS with the housing. It is about twice the price of Simon's but if you really need one it is a source that will be around hopely for a long time.
