We have been pretty lucky at dodging the bullet this past year. We have had some wind damage but no 20 below temps and no really huge snows. It has mostly been in northern Indiana or some down toward the Ohio River Valley. A number of bad streaks have been within 50 miles of us but missed us. I suspect at some point we will have to pay our dues...

Your storm is just leaving here tonight. It has been hanging around here building up strength since yesterday. It was weak here with very little wind and less than a foot of snow, but I understand it won't stay weak as it heads east to you.
For us, it didn't do much. It amounted to just a normal March snow here.
Hopefully it won't be to tough on you either.
It did snow enough to tally us up to 6 feet of snow for the winter so far.

We are almost recovered from a severe wind storm here in Rochester. Wind did a lot of damage here on Wednesday and now it's Sunday and not all folks have power restored. This new storm is just what we don't need. Storm warning from Monday at 10PM to Wednesday at 10PM. My wife and I are supposed to fly out on Wednesday morning for a moth long trip to Japan. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed.

I am not sure why,,,,,, but here,,,, 6in of snow is like 6ft in the western mountains .

I chained the tires up in the semi so many times out west ,,it was normal ,,,, now if I have to shovel off the porch I cringe!!

It is the wind we are supposed to get that has me worried on this one.

What part of OH are you in, Hobbyman? Here in Central OH, no winds over about 20 mph are forecast.

I'm no fan of harsh winters, but I wouldn't mind an opportunity to put my new generator and associated DIY house wiring to a real-world test. At least once.
