Welcome aboard Hartleyreddogsolar wrote:Good afternoon JPG,
I picked up a shopsmith at the town dump recently. Needed to reverse engineer the power plant lock to get it from moving down the rails. Question, just bought some sanding parts from Shopsmith and a instruction manual but none of the Mark V model 500 or Mark V model 510 pats match my machine.
The red disc has Model ER serial no. ER35189. wish to find a shop manual to learn about the RPM speeds and set ups.
Thank you
Hartley
I have moved your question to it's own thread.
What you have is a Shopsmith 10er which predates the Mark 5. The were made from 1947 through 1953.
Here is a link to the 10ER manual, (cleaned up and restored by Everett Davis) http://vintagemachinery.org/pubs/detail.aspx?id=16655
And this link will give you a good place to start. http://www.shopsmith.com/ss_forum/viewt ... 972#p57972
ps We would love to see pictures of you prize, and seeing what all you got with it will help us answer you questions.
