Model ER serial numbers

Model ER serial numbers

My dad bought this in 1970, I think. I'm trying to find more information about it, particularly when it was made. The serial number is R47694.

That was made probably mid production in 1951. It is an 10ER. Great machine even for it's age. :)

Do take good care of her! You need to look for the missing speed changer sliding reeves pulley.

I will look around for that speed changer sliding reeves pulley... as soon as I figure out what that is. ;)

Sadly they are exceedingly rare! You might need to get a broken speed changer to harvest it from.

The speed changer looks like this.

Most of one is mounted on your Dads 10ER, The part (sliding Reeves pulley) that you are missing looks like this. Check in your Dad's boxes of parts, with any luck you will find it there.
