Need some advice

I don't have floating tables so I may be out of place here ,,, can you raise them or lower them and angle them to support that much stock at that angle, ?

You can tilt the table and with long extension tubes add a floating table or two or three to get whatever support you need. The floor is the limit. As the load gets longer it puts mote stress on the table tilt lock so you need to be aware and compensate accordingly.

48" however is not really a long reach.

Kind of think Ed is on track with a circ saw and if I remember correctly you have an edge guide where the shoe bolts to the guide??
If that is not the way you want to go, some MANY years back when a friend wanted a to make a water bed, we ended up raising the right side on to a couple cinder blocks (I remember we had the cinder block openings facing up so we could set the casters sort of into them for a safer method.
The raised leg was long enough to give us the cut without the end of the board hitting the ground. I do remember it was a bear to get the board (a 2 x 12) to feed smoothly as I cut and my friend tried to help "carry at the speed I was feeding"!!! Yep, not safe at all, but it worked and neither he nor I sustained life threatening injuries from it!

Dusty where did you get that Bevel Master?

I have done some 22.5 deg cuts on the table saw but not 45 as yet.
I used the following jig that rides on the fence. I think that it would work OK as long as the pieces are not too long or heavy. The bottom joints were cut using this jig. The topangle was cut on a miter saw.

Thanks, guys for all your comments and suggestions.
The project is a rifle case. A prototype has been built and I used a lap joint and dovetail splines. The wood is 5/8" thick.
I could use the track saw as Ed and Ben suggested. Then, if tweaking at the disk sander was necessary, I think that would be easier than trying to saw it at the table.
I'll do some fiddling and let y'all know how it worked.

Thanks I think I got it now,, it just seems like a lot of work or such a simple cut on a miter saw.

Thanks, Paul. That will work. Already have single purpose sled (of sorts). Its not adjustable and for 22.5 cuts. But, I could build another for 45s.
