Table saw deck

My aluminum deck is discolored and dark. I believe from waxing. I tried to remove the discoloration with mineral spirits. Anyone know of a cleaner that would help.

Have you tried aluminum polish .

Mothers make aluminum polish for rims,,

You might need to sand it down. I sanded mine to remove varnish which I had foolishly applied, to protect guidelines I had drawn. Here are pictures of before and after sanding.

Thank you for posting this. I had viewed and commented on the original thread but had also forgotten about it.

I am going to follow your lead and do some work on my tables. I have long wanted at least the centerline. Now I know well how to achieve that. I have also wanted Dremel tool that would do what needs to be done. An early Christmas present will solve that (hmm, maybe a late birthday present).

I'm thinking though that maybe this could be done with a router bit and a variable speed router.
