For what it's worth, I can see all the photos, including the first few posts, on my Ipad, but not my PC or Samsung Android phone.

Here's a picture of the underneath side during construction. I used a 5/16" threaded rod, and some standard hardware to connect the release mechanisms together on both clamps. I drilled thru the center of the bench top for the rod. So releasing one side releases both. My objective was to release the clamps & use a clip to keep them released, thus freeing both hands to adjust the vise. However, it is possible to release the clamps one at a time manually. I plan on making several types of jaws, including individual ones for tail vises. I'm currently adding bench dogs and a removable piece on the jaw for clamping long boards. Total length clamping capacity will be about 50".

If I had it to do over, I might have had the release mechanism welded on one side, use a solid rod and thread the other end to reduce flex and / or loosening. I'll see how this one lasts over time & replace if needed. Currently it works fine. Also I used galvanized pipe, lightly sanded to eliminate burrs & put minwax on them. They slide really well & the metal strips have no trouble clamping & holding.

Interesting crank screw end on the pipe clamp. First time I have seen one for 'unthreaded pipe'. Maybe I just haven't been looking!

Also 'nice' holders for the table tubes.

Would love to see clamp details in photos that we can enlarge. Also bottom of top I see you labeled various components but they are unreadable to me.

Ed, you better go get your eyes checked. You might need different glasses.

The labels, from top to bottom read:

Threaded rod thru center of bench top connects both release levers so they operate together.

1/2" x 6" carriage bolts to attach bench top to cart top.

Vise opening is 16". Jaw width is 18".
