Vintage chestnut, vintage clampage

I finally got a little more time to work these old boards. The basement is showing about 12% R.Humidity this early January (lots of forced-air heat going on!). I planed them out some more times since they were curving a bit from dryness, then committed the joints layout. This will put things in place for subsequent power-routing some grooves inside the case:

I finally finished this little guy; it will be for a nephew with a birthday coming up. I'll probably enclose some educational material on "wormy chestnut" as well.

By the way, the chisel in the last photo is fitted with a chestnut handle from an online seller. It's really what inspired me to seek out this type of wood

Thanks very much! I put a rare-earth magnet pair in the knob-hole and in a little wood horseshoe inside the case, under the top panel.
The *other* thing besides magnets to get the door to stay closed is to not tighten the hinge screws too much. Same thing I encountered in 7th grade Shop class, "competing" hinges on a lid tend to bind up and not stay shut, so it's best to only use moderate torque on their screws.
