Is the SS post you showed back then essentially just a 1,1/4 inch 8TPI X however long hollow stud? If so, could the SS post be substituted with a however long its supposed to be piece of 1,1/4 8TPI all thread to rest the SS swing arm on or just build your own swing arm and tool rest to set it on? If thats doable, then you could literally build the post, swing arm, and 3 different tool rests for under $50 at lowes, js. Not gonna front, I love these shop smith systems, but Jesus H Christ parts are pure stupid expensive for them no matter where you look!! Anywho, thanks for any advice or suggestions on that conundrum lol.
