Has there ever been an answer posted to this two year old question?

I still align my front table rails in the same manner as depicted in reible's drawing.

I have both style rails (magnetic and non-magnetic). I set the gauge as shown in reible's sketch....that is on the edge of the extrusion, NOT the magnetic strip.
